I am so excited to share this “Urban Military” look with you featuring my new shirt I picked up at PINKO in Edinburgh the other week. Can we just talk about this awesome fringing? I’m always drawn to military things for some reason, so when I saw the shirt from the front I already fell in love with it and almost fainted when I turned it over. It’s just so edgy and super masculine which I love about military clothing, but the fringing and the embroidery on the front and on the sides in vertical stripes makes it so girly and playful – a real statement piece I had to have. I decided to wear it unbuttoned as a jacket this time over a simple vest and my pleated skirt with sneakers. Urban Military indeed, but it looks fab buttoned right up too.
Not sure if you’re familiar with the PINKO brand, but they have so many gorgeous designs right now. The accessories are to die for and I’m obsessed with pinko leathers. I’ve tried on the entire store in the Edinburgh’s Harvey Nichols, no kidding. The girls at PINKO were so lovely, I was treated like a queen at their Concierge changing room that has a sofa and TV in it – all fittings rooms should be like that. I snapchatted away (lafotka) dancing to Rihanna, trying on pretty things for a couple of hours and didn’t want to leave. Not without a full new wardrobe anyway…
I’ll be posting more snaps from my visit to Pinko Edinburgh in the next few days on Social Media with other outfits, so make sure you follow me as they’re super cute. Find me at @lafotka everywhere.
Almost forgot to point out that this shirt was made from the original recycled military uniform from the 1960 – a really lovely touch and the fabric is SO soft. Lucky soldiers and lucky me.
Have a fab weekend everyone!
Big Love,
Tatyana xx
