Some things just don’t go to plan. No matter how much you try and force them, the “plan” has different ideas. Something else pops up and if you don’t take it as a sign that there’s a reason for all of this, forcing the original plan might not bring you the results you were after. Time and time again life happens and life unfolds in interesting ways. Take it with a smile, thank it and move on. Don’t worry about losing money, connections and don’t stay disappointed. What you give up comes back tenfold – just trust it.
I’m currently stuck at home with a nasty cold when I should be in London for a few exciting meetings. Lost my flights that I paid for and perhaps some opportunities, but luckily the girls I was supposed to meet are very understanding. One of the things I love about this industry is I usually deal with amazing women who would do anything to support each other.

Another fascinating thing I’m baffled about is how incredible our bodies are. I’m learning so much about mine all over again with this pregnancy. Currently just over 4 months and ever so grateful for my immune system fully focused on protecting the baby, making me a bit more vulnerable to bugs. Can you imagine how much strain I’d put on my body if I took a flight, train and underground to central London this morning? And back? No brainer. Decision had to be made.
Off I go to sit in front of a fireplace (yes it’s that cold here) and drink tea. Sharing these shots from out trip to Fuerteventura where we did the bump announcement. Already seems like decades ago.
Have you had to make similar decisions recently? Did you regret them?

PS! The bump is bigger now – these pics were taken a couple of weeks ago. Update soon 😉 Promise!
