“That’s a nice ‘Mine Craft’ dress, mummy!” – my little girlie told me when I first wore this midi bodycon. What’s Mine Craft I asked? Ha…
Vesper brand have taken floral print to a whole new level – a digital one and if you will remember from this post, I’m a big fan of that kind… And I don’t love it because of the print only – the comfy soft stretchy jersey material with a textured feel is what really keeps me happy in it. It’s such a great piece for wearing to work with a blazer and some heels – not only does it add a bit of colour to those corporate meetings, but it’s also super comfy and stretchy too, which is almost unheard of when we’re talking about smart workwear. The high neck is what makes it look really smart with blazers actually, but since my meetings today weren’t that “corporate”, I opted for my thick denim shirt tied in a knot at the front which kind of acted as a jacket and also added a bit of contrasting casualness to the look… It’s navy, and although black shoes and bag and blazer would look amazing with the dress, I’m playing with the colours from the print a little – it’s more fun and I’m still in the summer mode, so boring plain black is going to be on hold for a little longer…
Curious to hear your thoughts on wearing denim as part of the “casual-smart” work attire…
What do you wear for “not-so-corporate” work meetings?
