A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of working at the renowned yearly sell-out Stobo Ladies Day event at Musselburgh Racecourse. It was my first time at the Ladies Day and I genuinely have had the best time ever. I’ve never seen so much colour, style and laughter all in one place. The Sun was shining, everyone was smiling and simply looking incredible. Betting or not, it’s truly a day out to remember and no doubt takes a whole year to organise as well. So glad to have been part of it this year. Not only did I get to experience the luxuries of the VIP marquee, but I also got to be one of the judges for the Queen of Style competition along with Hayley, Laura, Edith and Nicola. Choosing the winner was tough as everyone looked incredible, but the luckiest girl won a trip to New York and £2000 to spend. I’m SO going next year.

The VIP Marquee was such a treat. The company was brilliant (Nicky from i-on, Grant Scott, Peter, Edith, Nicola and Andrew) and the table looked incredible. We enjoyed a selection of delicious fine foods, Champagne on tap (I know!) and the best views of the racecourse. And another very important (I think) luxury is marquee’s private bathroom with dressing tables. No queues!

Whether you’re there for the races or not, Ladies Day is definitely for everyone. Style is a huge part of this event and it’s a chance to really go all out once a year. The bigger the hat, the better. If you make it yourself – even better. You’ll stand out and can win the “Best Hat” competition with a fantastic prize as well. And this is just for girls. Guys, I was truly impressed with some outfits I’ve seen this year and you too can be crowned the King of Style at next year’s event. Braces, tweed, Gucci loafers…
Have you ever been to Ladies Day? Would you like to go?
Musselburgh Racecourse host Ladies Day every year in the Summer and I really hope I get to work with them next year too, though I’ll be attending anyway. Too much fun to miss otherwise.
