THE PUFFA
The puffa trend… It’s like marmite – you either love it or hate it and I happens to be one of the very few that loves a nice cozy padded puffa. It reminds me of my first ever red puffer jacket I had as a kid in Estonia and boy did I love it! The winters were pretty cold in Tallinn (see this post to see where I’m from) so it was the perfect solution for playing about in the snow all day.
I got so excited when Balenciaga sported their fashionable yet super practical bubbles at PFW, and loved the fact how this season it’s all about exposing that elegant shoulder silhouette under those oversized “duvets”. Balenciaga red puffa would have been real nice this Winter, but my £40 high street alternative is even nicer given the fact that I have a lot of gorgeous coats to wear this Autumn / Winter already (more about them all soon) and the obvious – price tag! It’s ideal for my morning school runs and for the Scottish weather in general…
Decided to focus on the puffer jacket here by wearing all black I think the flares work really well here as it complements that whole oversized feel and elongates the shape too. And I think it’s safe to say that I LOVE my sheer polo neck from Long Tall Sally as I’ve featured it 3 times in the last couple of weeks on here and that’s definitely a first. It’s see-through, but surprisingly warm which is ideal for wearing under blazers and other tight-fitting outerwear. Not the case here of course, but works equally well.
And now the BIG QUESTION! What do you think about puffer jackets?
