Big happy smiles from the Big Apple to you people!
My busiest month this year so far had started with a quick but an incredible trip to New York. If there’s one city I’d easily move to it would be NYC. The people, the streets, yellow taxis, wheatgrass shots in the morning, food, skyscrapers, street style and that gorgeous accent… Ah…
Having missed a few shows I really wanted to get to during NYFW (I blame Google Maps app), I managed to attend Runa Ray and Francesca Liberatori shows downtown. Those of you who followed me on Instagram would have seen my stories and some close-ups. Incredible designers. Runa Ray only uses materials made from plants and even has some leaves sown in to her pieces all of which are so pretty and feminine. Francesca’s pieces are simply incredible and I’d wear the entire SS18 collection if I could next Summer. Lots of yellows, gingham and minimalist white wearable pieces. Also discovered some awesome galleries and quirky eateries in Chelsea Market which helped me feel less sad for missing all the other shows.
It goes without saying that New York Street Style is the best. Fashion Show queues alone are like all magazines and blogs put together in one line – endless inspiration. I’m just so happy I decided to wear these trainers and couldn’t take off this super soft pink knit whilst in NY. So many complements from people too about the look, but maybe because they were envious of how comfy it looked huh?
Anyways, just a quick hello and an update as I work on some exciting projects before heading to London this week. LFW – I’m coming for ya!
