Happy Monday everyone!
Hope you all had a great weekend! Mine was great…
I spent lots of time with the family, but also spent a lovely day in Edinburgh on Saturday for the Edinburgh Fashion Week. It all started off with the Bloggers Brunch at the well-known Contini’s, followed by lots of fun at The Mound on Princess street where a number of well-known high street and designer retailers’ catwalk shows were hosted from House of Fraser, Gap, River Island, Multrees Walk so on…
I actually arrived wearing my Denim Jumpsuit to the event and not this gorgeous stripeliscious Zara two-piece… Hmmm…. Laura Russell from Satisfashion Shopping launched the Edinburgh Fashion Week weekend with a number of fantastic Fashion Fix tutorials with one of them being this season’s biggest trends and quick fashion fix solutions such as seventies, florals, denim, pastels, tailoring and of course stripes. But instead of using models to showcase each trend on the catwalk, Laura came up with a great idea and thought that bloggers with different styles would demonstrate each trend better, on a more personal level with the audience if you like. Stripes were Laura’s obvious choice for me and I obviously said yes, even though I’m a really rubbish model. Any excuse to wear some serious stripes on stripes with a limited edition Cambridge Satchel “Peanuts” bag and pretend I’m Sienna Miller for a day… I wish!
Shame I couldn’t take them home on the day, but we sure did have some fun shooting these pictures and praying for Marylin Monroe moment not to happen, as it literally was the windiest day ever in Scotland on Saturday! And I’m not even kidding…
The question is: Shall I get this two-piece? Or maybe just the top or the skirt alone? Or do you love the shoes or the bag more? I’ve had lots of different comments from the “real models” backstage and some just loved the shoes, others the top and I actually love the skirt! What do you think?
PS! Thanks to Twisted Sister for my lovely natural-looking He-Shi tan!
Big Love
