Happy Christmas everyone!!!
Hope your holidays are filled with lots of love, laughter, fun, presents and parties!
We’re off to my sister’s for Christmas this year, with our little niece Aimee, who will be spending her first ever Christmas with us! Can I get an “Awwww”? It will be perfect and we’re making dessert as mentioned in my last post, and funnily enough as I write this post, I’ve got some “Jamie Oliver” Christmas desserts on the go in the kitchen with a few “live” updates on Twitter… We do love our sweets and I do have to multitask!
If you’re a busy mum like me and can almost never commit to a party invitation fully until you’re sure your kid is watched – you don’t really think about outfits until all that’s sorted. For people like us, who may only have an hour to get ready for that party we’re actually able to make, there are a couple of key pieces we can always count on, especially during Christmas! Number one is of course the one and only little black dress, and what screams more Christmas than satin? But ladies, I’d hate to see you arrive to a Christmas party with a lovely LBD and a boring old black coat… You’ll have to agree I’m right? You also want to forget about cardigans and anything else that will make you feel uncomfortable on the night (especially when you realise the next morning you’ve left your cardie at the party, oops!). You want to feel warm, sexy, confident, trendy and you DO want to stand out (YES)! This Buena Collared L.K. Bennett coat just ticks all the right boxes for me! The mohair and wool mix of the fabric are keeping me warm, the timeless retro-inspired shape is in contrast with the dress design, whereas the colour just screams trend, elegancy, chic and Chriiiiiistmassss!
Oh and to keep you extra warm (and sexy) – wear over-the-knee boots! Sandals can wait till summer…
Happy Christmas everyone!
