Happy Black Friday everyone!
Party season’s upon us and and so is the dilemma of “what to wear”, although it’s a problem us girls have most of the time, don’t we? I have a few quick solutions for tackling that dilemma:
- Go for an all black look with a statement LBD
- Shop your entire outfit in one shopping centre like I did in St. Enoch
I find that giving yourself a budget and a time limit to shop your party look (say 2 hours), always ends up to be a more successful experience than having to shop online for days with so much choice out there and without trying things on. Lets not even think about the hassle of returning orders because they don’t fit right and the stress of it all…argh!
So ladies, park you car in peace in St. Enoch centre or get a tube to the subway station right outside the centre, grab a coffee at Costa and go and enjoy your relaxed shopping experience in your favourite retailers. It’s so pretty in St. Enoch right now with so many Christmas lights and festive songs in all the stores. As you can imagine my little girl is a fan too, one word – Hamley’s!
Anyway, back to the party look. Every single fashion retailer right now is filled with sparkles and sequins, but lets admit, they’re not for everyone. That’s why I decided to go for velvet. It’s such a rich fabric and is perfect for Christmas, so when I saw this gorgeous dress in H&M I had to get it. There are a few other gorgeous pieces I saw in Dorothy Perkins too – make sure to swing by when you’re in St. Enoch. I then needed some serious accessories and after a stroll around the centre I ended up upstairs in Debenhams’ Topshop where I fell in love with this bag. Chloe on a budget, don’t you think? And what doesn’t scream glamour and party other than gorgeous black faux fur? Picked up this pretty (and super soft) scarf at Miss Selfridge in Debenhams and literally hadn’t stopped wearing it since. This is why black accessories and a pretty LBD are always a good idea because you’ll wear them way more often than sequins. Right? It’s all about smart shopping and I always prefer “real” shopping to online.
