Introducing Aptamil Sensavia Follow On Milk Formula

A few weeks ago yours truly mama here escaped rainy Scotland for an exciting day in London, where I was honored to get an introduction and a meeting with the lovely people behind the newly launched Aptamil Sensavia Follow On Milk. Aptamil Sensavia Follow On Milk is designed to complement a varied and balanced weaning diet for babies aged 6-12 months, and since Leon turned 6 months last month and we started weaning too, the timing couldn’t be more perfect. It’s just what I was looking for.

I’ve always trusted this brand as we used them with Sasha since she was born. She’s now 13 and a very healthy young lady. They have been pioneering breastmilk research for 40 years and have a team of 500 scientists and experts, so I know that my baby is in safe hands. Leon’s nutrition is very important to us, so I was intrigued by Aptamil Sensavia Follow On Milk’s new formulation based on partially hydrolysed milk protein, where the milk protein has been broken into smaller pieces. It also contains Vitamin D and Iron and these are needed to support baby development. *

How did I move my baby onto the new Aptamil Sensavia Follow On Milk?

We transitioned to Aptamil Sensavia Follow On Milk just 2 weeks after Leon turned 6 months and he took to the product really well. In fact the transition was seamless and he seems to love the taste and the new chic premium packaging as much as I do (see image). There shouldn’t be any side effects when switching to Aptamil Sensavia Follow On Milk other than a change of stool colour (green). Make sure you warn dads or grandparents in advance about a possible “green surprise” though.

How do you prepare Aptamil Sensavia Follow On Milk?

In terms of preparation – bottle prep couldn’t be easier. We always make up each feed as required and Leon loves to “help” / watch. I wash my hands and add the desired amount of previously boiled warm water into a sterilized bottle. Then using the scoop provided I add the correct amount of powdered formula to the water, close tightly and shake vigorously and vertically for around 10 seconds or longer until the powder is dissolved. By then Leon already knows we’ll be heading off to our quiet corner for a feed and it’s a lovely time for us to bond and enjoy a few times a day quietly.

I would definitely recommend Aptamil Sensavia Follow On Milk if you’re considering introducing follow on milk to your baby. Leon really enjoys it and I know he’s getting important nutrients along with his solids, so it’s a thumbs up from us. The new product just launched in the UK, so if you haven’t spotted the new chic packaging in your usual supermarket, it’ll be arriving there anytime soon don’t worry.
