When you buy a slip dress of dreams but unable to wear it on its own because well… bust issues and a bit of dignity too I guess. Luckily, slip dresses over t-shirts are a thing of the moment right now, huh?
Still can’t get enough of my DIY Gucci-like mules… Do you remember them as sandals in this post?
Off to enjoy some Scottish Nature with the family today as my daughter is off school since her school is used as a polling station for the UK / EU referendum. Really hoping that UK remains in the EU as I have already been through a Soviet Union collapse and although that was pretty extreme at the time, it affected me as a kid who was born in Estonia hugely. All I can ask of everyone in the UK – lets be careful about what we teach our kids about “them and us” just because legislation might say so. Lets be friends!
Have a fab day!

Aw thank you!!! xxx
Tatyana, this look is so sassy! And you wear it beautifully!
I do wish the very best for the outcome of this vote. Regardless the decision, may there still be unity amongst the nations and their people. You’re right, it should be “we” not “them” and “us”.
Ah, I would be very interested to hear what you have to say about the changes you saw as the Soviet Union collapsed. I am so far removed from such things. I love to hear stories of others’ lives.

Thank you – so glad you like my look! 🙂
As you now know – UK made the decision to leave the EU 🙁
Reminds me very much of the Soviet Union collapse back in 1991 and how all Russians living in old Soviet countries had to apply for new citizenships in the countries they worked and lived in for years. Many lived in those countries since birth and many since the WW2. And to this day, some EU countries that were part of the Soviet Union still issue Non-Europeans with ALIEN (!!!) passports that require travel visas to every country and lets put it that way – don’t really do much for their identity.
I was born in Estonia a few years before the collapse and although as a kid I had no idea what economical or political benefits the Soviet break-up entailed (if any), I certainly knew and felt how much inequality it created. All I cared about as a kid was NOT to be told to go back to “my own” country by other kids (Estonia WAS my country of birth) and be accepted, not pushed away because there was suddenly new legislations in place that in a nutshell said: them and us. I’ve been living in UK for 16 years now and I have never felt more welcome.
Whilst the Politicians and the Media want us to focus on the Economy, Welfare etc (and these are all important). How much of it people are really able to influence? Those billions of pounds in EU membership fees… Do they really affect us and our kids in our day-to-day lives? Those fees were promised to be given to the NHS and now they’re saying this statement was a mistake… Very sad day for UK and Europe too to be honest…
xx
Love how edgy this look is and I can’t wait to try your DIY mules, so chic!

Thank you lovely! Still can’t believe I DIY’d them 🙂 xx
I love the edgy vibe of this look Tatyana! And on another note: I’m so very sad about the outcome of the referendum, last night when we arrived in the UK, I had such a strange feeling, I still can’t believe this is happening 🙁 But as far as what I read in the news, many leave voters regret what they did but this is even worse. Yesterday on the ferry, I overheard a couple and the guy was laughing when he talked about the referendum and that he voted ‘leave’, he found it all very funny. I wish he would be aware of the effects. Much love your way, Kirsten xx

Love your blog and your style! I keep seeing the trend of tees and slip dresses and you wear it so well. And I’m so sorry that we’ve voted out of the EU, I really hoped we would remain. Finger’s crossed it turns out okay x
