Sleep with ease…
Do you have good sleeping habits in place? Or do you feel they could be cleaned up a little bit? Whilst I definitely don’t have any issues with the actual sleep and I’m grateful for every little bit of it that’s uninterrupted (I believe most mums are), I certainly have a more restful sleep when I stick to my little night-time rituals I have created to help me relax more before bed. I’ve partnered up with my absolute favourite tea brand Pukka Herbs to help you ease into good sleeping habits. Pukka have designed a 7-day sleeping programme by their in-house herbal experts that will help you establish a new better routine and train your brain to sleep better naturally.
With one simple sleep tip per day, you’ll be able to move on to the next documenting your progress and changes in sleeping habits / patterns. I personally love this programme and I love how easy it is – it’s like having your personal sleep doctor who is so wonderfully loving and caring. I already drink Pukka Night Time Tea before going bed and have been for a couple of years now, but I started adding a few other relaxing rituals into my pre-bed-time routine. I love adding a few drops of lavender or any other sleep blend essential oils on to my pillow right before I turn off the light. Essential oil drops are also fab in a bubble bath to send those relaxing messages to your brain even earlier. Ideal for those extra busy or stressful days. Getting rid of any clutter and dimming the lights right down in the bedroom is my top priority as soon as it hits 8pm. We’ve never had TV in our bedroom and I refuse to bring my laptop into the bed either. I love how Pukka describe it as “protecting” your sleep space in their “Sleep with Ease 7-day programme”. Protecting yourself, your wellbeing and your sleep is so important for supporting our immune system naturally and simply recharging our heart and cardiovascular programme. We need all the help in that department – especially dealing with stress this year.
It’s not just about being so knackered you fall into your bed like a tonne of bricks. It’s about that bit of “me time”, self-care and unwinding after a busy demanding day. Granted, it might not be possible to have a bubble-bath, meditate for half an hour, read a book, listen to podcasts or carry out full-on skincare routines every single night. But if we are able to work into our routine a couple of simple new things that send will program our brains to relax – then we’re already making a huge difference to our wellbeing. Even if you’ve had the most stressful evening that couldn’t be avoided – having that warming hug in a mug aka Night Time Tea with its dreamy blend of relaxing herms will still help you unwind before bed.
Just recently I added another wonderful product into my bed-time routine. Pukka Night Time capsules. Two capsules before bed made with an organic herbal blend including Valeriana and Aswagandha. Lets just say that the the first few hours or my sleep are so deep I feel rested even when I’m woken up in the middle of the night.
Hope this helpful to you in some ways. There’s nothing worse than not resting and waking up stressed. So if this post resonated with you in any way and you’re going to follow Pulla Sleep with Ease programme – do share your thoughts and feedback with us. Would love to know what you’re doing differently and how much better you’re sleeping.
Hugs,
