QVC Fashion Week…
Lets talk Spring / Summer 2016 Fashion because it’s QVC Fashion Week (19th Feb – 23rd Feb) and if this doesn’t get you out of your grey and black winter clothes, then I don’t know what will. But first, have you seen anything more beautiful that this in February? I haven’t… So much colour and so many gorgeous fresh bright tones and prints! It’s what my monochrome wardrobe needs right now and I bet yours is screaming for it too…
I’d like to welcome you to the most gorgeous place ever – QVC TV Shopping Channel studios in London. Yep, that’s where all the magic happens and I hope you enjoy my little colourful behind-the-scenes post. Who wants that blossoming tree in their bedroom, hands up? I felt like I was in a fairy tale for a day and had to pinch myself when I saw this set-up after my very own personal tour of the enormous studios. It. Was. Impressive. You won’t believe it, but I was in the live recordings room during the live transmissions! So cool…
But it’s the injection of Colour and Spring I was after and boy, QVC didn’t disappoint. Can you believe these leopard print lace-up sandals are by Clarks? They will available on 1st of April at QVC and are only £45! I’m so getting these as they were the first thing I noticed.
QVC Jewellery
You’ll know QVC are known for their amazing jewellery brands. Remember this post on QVC Jewellery Day and this on open-ended jewellery I did not long ago? I love the fact that you can watch the live recordings afterwards as well – sparkles deserve to be shown to us from every angle, right? But I was a very lucky girl that day and saw some jewellery spinning round in Spring baubles from the magical tree… Just magical.
QVC Handbags…
I have this problem lately and you all know it. I’ve been wearing the same cross-body bag since Christmas and I love it, but it’s black, like most of my things this winter. I think I have a solution to my problem and it’s a big bright yellow one, just like that thing in the sky we see sometimes! This Buttercup Fiorelli beauty is under £50 and will be mine on March the 2nd when it launches at QVC. Oh wait, maybe I should get the Lulu Guiness in light Magenta instead? But there’s also the Modalu in coral… Aaah… My new handbag won’t be black for sure!
Camera. Lights. Action…
And then there were those scissor lights. Everywhere. So many of them. Can I have a couple at home please for the most perfect lighting for Instagram pictures? Keep them off in the mornings though…
During the tour I had a shot of the QVC catwalk (see my Instagram), pretended I was a “camera-man” for a second and I even had a sneaky peek in the guest changing rooms (they were empty) that day as well as the “prep-room” where they test all the products before they are wheeled out into the live studios. I just loved it.
PS! Check out the views outside the studios and I’m still amazed by how it’s always so sunny in London when I visit.
My #QVCFW Favourites…
I had to try a few things on, it would be rude no to and because I was still in the “winter mode” I went straight for the Helene Berman monochrome biker jacket. It’s such a lovely piece that could be worn with a smart dress for work or with jeans and a tee any day with a big bright bag. But then I saw this simple, very summery timeless stripe tunic by C Wonder and couldn’t believe it was only £30. It will be available in March, so don’t miss the opportunity – I know this one will be sold out in a minute.
JOY & QVC…
There are so many more gorgeous pieces launching during the QVC Fashion Week like the above Clarks (I know!) golden sandals, frayed summer denim dresses (C Wonder £31), snakeskin slip-on trainers, satchels, Birkenstocks, evening dresses and so much more. I just can’t believe the discounts on the new season items to be honest – no wonder some pieces sell out in seconds. It’s so funny actually, as a few days after my trip to London to the studios, my daughter and I watched the film JOY and guess what TV Shopping Channel “starred” in the movie? Yep, the one and only QVC! What an amazing movie and an even lovelier team to work with at QVC.
So… Are you feeling like Spring might be making the appearance a little sooner now in your wardrobe? I certainly am and don’t think I can look at my black clothes again in the same way. How could I? Well, maybe monochrome stripes only and there’s a whole monochrome section in the QVCFW so I guess we’re still good…
If you love any of the above, or are looking for a great deal on your favourite brands, then I warn you to keep an eye on them (and more other pretty things) during the QVC Fashion Week this weekend and please, leave me one Buttercup Fiorelli bag, she told me she needs me!
Happy Spring Shopping!
Big Love,
Tatyana x
