Knowing what you suit and remembering it when you shop for my clothes is key to feeling comfortable no matter the occasion. I suit high necks and midi flowy dresses. I don’t suit bodycons or cowl necks and I tend to size up in almost all my pieces. Apart from shoes obviously. And while we’re on the shoes – I don’t remember last time I wore high heels. Does anyone wear heels these days?
Postpartum fashion and feeling good is a combination we don’t hear too often, but I feel great wearing pieces I know are forgiving and flattering at the same time. That’s another phrase you don’t hear very often right? Find something that works for you no matter how you feel and invest in a few pieces you’ll turn to whenever you need. Be it oversized jumpers, t-shirts or a midi dress like me – just know what you suit and remember it may not be the same as what you “like”.
I got treated to “something nice” on Farfetch website by my other half last week and picked this Ganni dress I absolutely adore with the new STAUD bag. Both pieces are SO ME and I know I’ll wear them all the time, which doesn’t happen too often with high street pieces. I now have a new “want to buy only good things bug” and I maaay have ordered a few other more expensive things for my new pospartum Spring wardrobe. I sold a few things on eBay and have EVERY right to treat myself to something I really want (and suit).
PS! I also discovered how amazing it is to wear my baby! 😉
