There’s just something about big plain old jumpers over mini skirts that make the whole look a bit more “acceptable”… I don’t usually tend to go for what’s acceptable, nor plain or old boring, but my pleather front top with sheer back had to be swapped for something a little more warmer as the day went on yesterday. And that “something more warmer” happened to be this Next jumper with zip details on each side and it’s usually the first thing I put on if I’m in a rush somewhere. It’s of a great shape, colour and length with the cutout detail at the front, which means no need for tucking it in to my jeans or skirt. And was I in a rush this time? Of course I was! I’m always in a rush to pick up my girl, to meet this, to drop off that, to attend there and drive here and there… 🙂 This is how you’ll find most self-employed girls and mums roll those days and probably the rest of the world too. Busy means practicality and lots of quick plan B options for quick exists and entrances for various occasions in our busy schedules, and although this jumper is nowhere near smart – it’s hanging there always as my plan A in my wardrobe as it can go over any dress without messing up my hair, over a shirt for a more smarter look and everything else really… The best thing about it? There’s always the best thing about everything for me isn’t there? It doesn’t need ironed – like ever! Wash, hang to dry and Voila!
If you are thinking of investing in a similar Plan A jumper – I’d say go for good quality as you want to love it forever and for it to be loved forever it needs to keep it’s colour, shape and length…
What’s your plan A item? Do you have an emergency piece that you just know will save you from any outfit disasters?
Have a great weekend everyone! xxx
