There’s something so exciting about a change of season. Some people hate it, but I usually get a big wave of creativity and just excitement in general as we all embrace the change. With that (and that’s the most exciting part for me), comes a seasonal wardrobe clear-out followed by empty shelves and hangers that need filled. So satisfying and so fun. Who’s with me? Autumn / Winter is definitely my favourite season to shop and starting with plenty of new knitwear is without a doubt a yearly tradition. You can never have too many jumpers in Scotland.
As you can imagine this year my shelves are particularly empty as I’ve put away so much stuff (especially bottoms) until I can fit into them again. Not replacing everything with maternity wear – oh no, as it’s not that adventerous on high street sadly. But shopping a bit smarter and opting for basic pieces I can wear while pregnant and after as well.
So excited to discover and partner up with FISI (Find it Style It) brand for this post. I’m wearing two different knits from their NEW IN collection and as soon as I saw them I knew they were the perfect pieces to welcome the knitwear season with this year.
Would you believe me if I told you that this gorgeous and super soft grey Cara Roll Neck is only £18? I still can’t believe the price for the quality. And this Mia V-Neck (£25 – I know!) is the most cosiest jumper in my wardrobe now. You may have noticed fluffy jumpers are everywhere on the high street at the moment, but I’m glad I’m supporting FISI instead. A local brand from Edinburgh created and ran by the lovely Lisa who simply gets what us ladies need when it comes to chic and timeless fashion. She’s quite amazing – read about her here. With those prices and a perfect selection of minimalistic basic pieces it would be rude not to stock up on simple, yet glamorous basics and separates for any occasion.
Ribbed roll neck jumpers are my absolute favourite thing to wear in the Winter. They’re warm, don’t need ironed and so timeless, which means you can dress them up or down. For £18 I think I need one in all the colours FISI 😉
Have you started knitwear shopping yet? Start with a couple of affordable staples at Find It Style It if you haven’t yet. I was truly impressed by the quality and gorgeous neat packaging you sometimes don’t get when ordering fast fashion online.
PS! Loving my bump and although it still looks small in these shots, it really grew overnight this week. Excited to keep on styling it with non-maternity fashion.
WHAT I’M WEARING:
