Happy Sunday my lovelies! How is your weekend so far?
Sharing some outfit shots and a few snaps from my short trip to Luxembourg – a place I’ve fallen in love with. Love visiting different parts of the world and adore city breaks actually. Even in the 30 degree heat. It was a short break for my other half and I (those are sometimes needed too) and we walked a LOT. Something Sasha would absolutely hate…
What I loved about Luxembourg?
People were so lovely and helpful. Streets were clean and the architecture is beautiful. Very similar to Paris, but also different. The government seems to really take care of the citizens (or at least it’s the impression I got) and are even planning on making all public transport free. We took a bus from the city to the airport for free. Parks are really taken care of and there’s loads to do for families as well as tourists. Lots of cute restaurants and cafes (see pics) with cool interior and delicious various food choices. Loved the old town as it reminded me of my home-place Tallinn. Everyone including tourists seemed to have lots of respect and care for Luxembourg and that was a lovely thing to experience.
Have you been?
We decided to take a trip to Brussels for a day for which I’m having mixed feelings about. It’s around 3 hours away from Luxembourg. I always feel awful having negative opinions about places as I’m sure we haven’t seen the best of it. Plus people truly call those places home… But! As a tourist for a day, who granted, didn’t do much prep before visiting we really didn’t have a good time. The train station we were at felt unsafe and the city itself seemed to have a lot of disorganisation, mess and crime. Waffles were yum but again, expected something out of this world to be honest. The architecture was lovely and as I say, I’m certain that we haven’t seen the best of Brussels that day.
Have you been to Brussels or Luxembourg? What are your thoughts?
