As you can see Glasgow treated us to some lovely weather on Friday – that Friday which will be talked about for a while now as it really was tropical, but tropical usually means a week of rain afterwards sadly! Never mind – I made the most of it and as soon I’d finished with work, I headed out to meet my mum for some much needed iced coffee in the Sun.
I grew up in Estonia where we used to get 3 months of proper hot sunny summer with lots of swimming in the sea and natural exposure to the Sun all summer (winter is a different story), so making the most of one sunny day was never a worry for me. Scotland is a different story though – last Friday, just in one sunny day – I managed to finish all my work for the day, go for a run in the park (well, a lie down in the grass more so), meet mum for iced coffee in the city centre, do this shoot with my other half and then walk home (1.5 hours) – because I didn’t want to waste one minute of the tropical Friday weather… Oh and I walked in my ZARA slides, not these heels – phew you maybe saying to yourself!
Am I sad? Maybe, but my skin improves and breakouts disappear when I get exposed to the Sun, so you can call me a secret light therapy chaser…
PS! The slip on dress was strategic thinking, yes! It’s super comfy, not tight (I can eat as much ice-cream as I want), so on trend, perfect for “tropical” days and if I get more Sun on my shoulders when wearing it – me and my skin get happy!
Hope you all had a great weekend too!
