THE SPA AT GLENEAGLES HOTEL
A few weeks ago Gleneagles Hotel have kindly invited Sasha and I to experience their brand new Sunday brunch menu. It was incredible (see some pics below). I couldn’t stop thinking about it ever since and simply had to go back – but for a day of Spa this time with my other half. If I didn’t have any responsibilities waiting for me at home, then I’d still be lying on one of those beds in the relaxation room. Bliss…

SPA (contunued)
As well as their luxury Spa and Beauty & Hair Salon, the hotel also have a fantastic Health Club. It has all the facilities a guest could need from a large swimming pool, thermal suite, gym, fitness classes and even an outdoor pool. Health Club welcomes everyone – even if you’ve only reserved a Spa Day. I’m definitely coming back there with Sasha as the Health Club is ideal for families whereas the Spa is ideal for a day of relaxing and switching off fully. And this is exactly what we did.
TREATMENTS
The Spa at Gleneagles by ESPA is one of the most luxurious, beautiful and peaceful Spas I’ve ever been to. From indulging thermal heat experiences, sauna, steam room and tropical showers, the spa also offers a selection of gorgeous ESPA treatments suitable for everyone. I feel relaxed just reading about them. Since I wanted to fully inwind and escape my daily stresses, I decided to go for Gleaneagles Signature Mindful Massage. It was the best and most relaxing massage I’ve ever had. If you’re curious – it is a holistic experience that helps with relaxation of both body and mind during which my therapist guided me through breathing and visualisation techniques. It was the most beautiful experience ever and I look forward to my next one. My other half had the Spa’s iconic back, face and scalp massage and let me tell you – he was still recovering from his relaxed state 2 days after the massage. For someone like him who always chooses a sports massage, the treatment really helped him relax and switch off for 80 minutes. After our treatments, we did some more relaxation with camomile tea and healthy snacks in our own relaxation rooms (there’s one for males and females). With so much relaxing and de-stressing we were eventually ready for our Afternoon Tea at the hotel’s stunning Glendevon Room.
AFTERNOON TEA
If you’re looking for the most memorable, luxurious and relaxing Afternoon Tea experience in Scotland – this is it. Not that we needed any more relaxation, but the beautiful surroundings, jazz music and impeccable service made us even more relaxed. We were so comfortable in our booth with cushions supporting our elbows and backs we didn’t want to move. Gleneagles Signature Afternoon Tea at only £40 pp served on fine silverware was truly wonderful. A selection of sandwiches and warm scones with clotted cream (yas!) followed by the most prettiest and tastiest sweet dishes (that we had to bring with us home) was what the doctor ordered. The selection of rare Newby teas was pretty incredible too actually and I’d recommend Earl Grey as it was the most unusual, fragrant and delicious Earl Grey teas I’ve ever tried. Have a look at their Afternoon Tea menus here.
So yeah, who wants to take me to Gleneagles Spa again soon? x
Huge thanks to Gleneagles for the most wonderful Spa & Afternoon Tea experience.
