Tis the season to be partying…
So excited to officially start the Christmas party season with River Island. With so many dinner parties, Christmas drinks and work nights out, we all need to be at the ready to pull out a quick, yet glamorous look together don’t we?
Without a doubt Christmas is always associated with glitter, sparkles, sequins and all kinds of metallics with a rare killer satin piece we wished was made in every colour. But this year (thanks to the stylish folk back in the 70s) it’s all about fringing, tassels, leathers, suede and velvet… with a little dose of sparkle here and there because you know, it’s Christmas!
I’ve decided to go for a monochrome party look. One – it’s so easy to put together and is perfect for Christmas cocktails with friends straight after work. Two – this black fringed skirt (that screams PARTY!) will NEVER crease and what’s more, this sleeveless belted top hardly creases too. Both ideal for bringing with you for changing in to later if you’re pushed for time… You’re welcome!
I’m already planning on wearing the skirt with a cozy Christmas jumper to a dinner party soon and the belted top would look amazing with some leather skinnies or culottes. These will do just fine, thank you River Island.
And the shoes… They kind of speak for themselves don’t they? Lace-ups, real leather and super trendy. Your toes and heels will be covered, which is perfect for UK’s cold winter nights, but especially if you are in a rush and there’s no time for sparkly party pedi. Can you tell I’m always in a rush? Thank God for clever fashion!
What are your key pieces for Christmas Party Looks? Are you into all that glitters? Tell, tell – I’d love to hear!
Feeling so festive as I write this. Can I have a Mulled Wine you think? Will probably wake everyone up trying to make it…
