With the Stobo Castle Ladies Day at Musselburgh Racecourse just around the corner (1st of June), I thought I’d share my excitement for my involvement with Ladies Day as I prepare for this fabulous yearly event. It’s already sold out and there’s a brilliant line-up of events and entertainment for the guests – I’m truly so excited!
FASHION
As with any event that is as extravagant and glamorous as Stobo Castle Ladies Day, the first question will always be “What to wear?” right? In fact, so many ladies are scared to go because they’re worried it’s “not their thing” based on their every day style. I too got told by a few folk that they can’t imagine me at “Ladies Day” adhering to the typical glam races dress code. Does everyone have to wear a lace or satin bodycon dress accessorised with feathery floral headwear? Of course not, and there are tons of occasion-wear out there for all body shapes and styles. It’s important to be comfortable, stay true to your style, but experiment a little. This is why I decided to go for this powder pink suit I picked up at St. Enoch Centre who are kindly sponsoring my Ladies Day outfit. By the way, there’s soooo much occasionwear in St. Enoch at the moment. I even picked up some headwear for my mum for my sister’s wedding next month. And talking of headwear, I might do a little something fun and glam to my hair on the day – you just have to wait and see.
I’ve also been asked to be one of the judges for several of the Ladies Day style competitions. So excited for that. There are some serious prizes this year up to £8K. I’ll definitely be taking into consideration participant’s creativity as well as the overall synergy of how the whole look is carried out. Comfort and how the guests’ personality is coming through their outfit are key I think when it comes to special occasion dressing. Can’t wait to see so much glamour in one place in one day! Delicious food, champagne, celebrities… Bring it on.

There’s so much emphasis on the event and there’s quite a lot involved actually in planning everything, it can literally take months. By planning I mean the most important things – childcare, outfits, hair, skin, nails… (Ha!) Us ladies always want to look and feel amazing, but for Ladies Day we go all in. And that includes a weekend of pampering at Stobo Castle who are the official partners of Ladies Day and I too was treated to a little pampering stay with treatments and delicious food at Stobo Castle last week. Check out some snaps below, but it’s nothing like the real deal…
I’m also off to Harvey Nichols next week to chat and try out some luxurious skincare. I’m honestly feeling amazing just thinking about it all. Make sure to follow along on my stories on Instagram.

Is anyone else going to the the Ladies Day? Make sure to say hi if you see me! I’ll be having fun with my plus one and a couple of other amazing girls from the industry. And of course, I’ll be back here to tell you everything about it after the event here on the blog – watch this space.
Hugs
