Back to front or front to back – you decide. I’ve never done anything the conventional way. Not so much rebelling or to annoy anyone in particular, but I’ve never really resonated with any typical social tradition per se. Things like having a kid at “the right age” that is “acceptable” by society (I think I’ll talk about that in depth later), not conforming or fitting in to any specific social group or class… Choices I made. Choices that at times weren’t understood by people and maybe even myself, but they had to be made. Countless college courses to try to find out what I wanted to do after finishing school. Hobbies (read about some of them HERE) and even crazy haircuts back in the days that made me who I was / am. I often got told that I do things “backwards” and it often confused me. Is there a right way?
Isn’t it beautiful when you meet someone who sees the world like you do and shares all your values and just simply gets you? Almost nine years and counting and we still do things our own “strange” way. People simply don’t get us. Doing things “backwards” or unlike anyone else is actually liberating, although it takes a lot of work to simply allow ourselves to be who we want to be in life. Allow your weirdness to shine, celebrate it and simply DO YOU, remembering that not everyone will like you, but there will be plenty of people who will. Honesty, integrity and humbleness simply feel better for our big sensitive hearts.
And here’s how weird I am… The cardigan I’m wearing got me into this deep topic (I know!). It’s supposed to be worn with buttons on the back i.e back to front, and because I decided to wear it the opposite way, I remembered that I like doing things backwards.
