All about Autumn Vibes in this post today as Fall is in full swing around here in Glasgow. Yes, my last few posts from London featured a lot of bare legs and plenty of red, but today I’m fully embracing Autumn and giving bold colours a little break. Just a little break though, as I’m not giving up on red yet.
Autumn is most definitely my favourite time of year and it’s without question when I also spend the most on new additions to my wardrobe. Soft cosy knits, coats, boots as well as lots of homeware and loungewear like slippers, blankets and endless amounts of candles. Ah Autumn Vibes…
But lets talk about this season’s Autumn colours for a second here. Red is still going strong and I’ll be wearing plenty of it in the coming months. There’s the mustard tones and all shades of green on the high street right now with a bit of check and houndstooth thrown in to the mix. One colour that that I didn’t see myself being drawn to is brown and I’ll be honest, I’m really starting to enjoy it this Fall. Starting small with accessories first as it’s always the best and safest way to experiment with new to your wardrobe hues. My new Audrey Havana CELINE sunglasses from SmartBuyGlasses are the most perfect accessory to wear this Autumn and will help emphasise other Autumn colours that you see in my Perseverance London Top from Paulie for example. Brown handbags, belts and footwear can also add that Autumnal touch to your look and don’t forget about watches. Mine is called Easy Rider from Timex and has this gorgeous brown leather strap with my daughter’s and other half’s initials engraved on it. Timex have something VERY exciting launching soon and are currently celebrating 40 years of the Easy Rider’s watch design – a very exciting time for the brand. Stay TUNED.
I know, I know… You really want to talk about this stunning wide sleeve top quickly?
It’s from Paulie and although I fell in love with it after seeing it online first, I had to have it when I saw it in Paulie’s boutique in London. The movemenemnt, the lace and this paisley print with those beautiful and cerefully selected colours scream Autumn for me. It’s also really lovely to wear and I can’t wait to style it up with more brown in the coming weeks. Watch this space.
