ASCOT IN STYLE
Last Saturday I had the pleasure of spending a full day at Ascot Racecourse (just outside London) and it’s all thanks to the lovely team at Wallis. I flew down to London early in the morning (yep, sunglasses are strategical) and believe it or not, was already wearing this suit on the flight in. It’s super summery, very comfy and I just love the fact that these co-ords can be worn dressed down with trainers and t-shirts, as well as dressed up for special occasions with a pair of heels and a clutch bag. The occasion was definitely special as I’ve never been to Ascot before and it was so lovely spending the day with a bunch of lovely bloggers and the Wallis team in our Private Box lunching, enjoying drinks, betting and watching the races.
GO FOR PIECES THAT ARE “YOU”
It’s never easy to know what to wear to The Races, especially at Ascot. I knew I didn’t want to wear a dress or a skirt, nor anything too “dressy” so luckily I was able to pick something that really resonates with my style at Wallis Occasion Shop. I’m not going to lie, my first choice was a striped jumpsuit (of course it was), but now after spending a full day in my new floral co-ords I’m so glad I went for the blazer and the trouser duo. It’s definitely more me and the whole look works really well with black accessories too, don’t you think?
I’ve linked a bunch of gorgeous occasionwear pieces from Wallis below and there’s a completely different look with more inspiration in my previous post too if you’re stuck for ideas.
